The sport facilities of Taifong Golf Club, built in 1981, needed a reorganization. The architects Álvaro Siza and Carlos Castanheira began the renovation of the club in 2009 that was concluded in 2014. The building is perfectly integrated in the landscape, demonstrating a rich relationship between the building, the landscape and local culture. The new clubhouse is integrated into the landscape, with an entrance pavilion and a reception building over underground parking, and preexisting infrastructures are used for a small hotel and a tea house. The clubhouse includes spaces for recreational and cultural events and activities.
