One of the most prestigious design prizes in the world, the Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts' "Good Design Award" was founded in 1950 by Ray and Charles Eames, Eero Saarinen, and MoMa curator Edgar Kaufmann Jr.
One and Tua’s unique performance has been recognised by the jury, joining the elite list of Good Design Award winners for 2016.
Launched in 2016, One is the first range of downlights to use the Lightcore optic. Lightcore is an innovative micro-reflector developed together with Bartenbach, in order to satisfy the most demanding design challenges. Its complex geometry micro-surfaces achieve maximum efficiency in contrast precision, a defined beam and excellent glare control.
Designed with the renowned architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, Tua is an exterior bollard created to project uniform light over a long distance. Tua uses an optical system made with an asymmetric, high-purity aluminum reflector with 97% reflection, low luminance level and low UGR level. Tua casts a great light effect, and stands as a discreet, near-invisible light source.
